The new Registered Aged Care Providers submodule went live on 17 June, aligned with the Aged Care Act 2024 and draft Rules.
The final Aged Care Rules were made in September, and all subsequent changes to the content to reflect the final rules went live in the October publishing cycle.
To assist customers in navigating the new aged care framework, we have developed the Obligation Status Indicator attached to provide an overview of the obligations in the Registered Aged Care Providers submodule, including:
- The types of providers that each obligation applies to
- Whether the requirements are new, existing, or amended compared to the old framework under the Aged Care Act 1997 (Cth)
- Whether the obligation was impacted by amendments made to the final rules post-consultation and a description of the change (if applicable)
The new aged care framework took effect on 1 November 2025 and is covered exclusively in the Registered Aged Care Providers submodule. This register will be continuously updated to ensure newly resources and legislative developments are reflected.
From 1 November 2025, the existing Residential Care and Home Care submodules will no longer be updated but will remain active to allow for transitional arrangements. These submodules will be archived at a future date and further notice will be provided.
Our goal is to support a smooth transition to the new regulatory framework while maintaining accuracy and transparency. Please reach out to your relationship manager if you have any questions.
